Day 1: Noon Clue

Day 1: Noon Clue

Noon Clue (The Mansion & Its Ghosts)

With the body moved to the study and the doors locked tight, Griselda, the eerie fortune teller, moved through the dim corridors with slow, deliberate steps. Her fingers traced the edges of the grand staircase, her eyes closed as though listening to something just out of reach.

Paul, ever the businessman, scoffed. “You won’t find profits in the spirits, dear.”

Griselda’s eyes snapped open, fixing on him with an unnatural intensity. “This house is restless.”

It wasn’t just superstition—several guests had noted strange occurrences even before Ginevra’s death. Nahomy swore she heard someone whispering in the drawing-room despite it being empty. Destiny claimed she saw movement in the mirrors, though no one stood nearby.

And then there was Michelle, the most peculiar of them all—standing near the window, gazing out at the darkened landscape with quiet contemplation. But Destiny, standing beside her, was deathly still. She whispered, almost too quietly to be heard:

“Michelle’s been dead for two years. And yet, here she is.”

Clue Discovered: The mansion itself may hold clues to the murder. Ginevra, before her death, had expressed concerns about something haunting her. Had she truly feared ghosts—or was it something, or someone, else? The teddy bear has moved. No one saw it happen, but now it sits at the head of the dining table, its glassy eyes reflecting candlelight. A smear of dried blood stains the tablecloth beneath it. Paul stares at it for a long time before standing abruptly and leaving the room.
